What My Father's New Queen is about

An aging king takes a new bride, and his son is about the same age as she is. On the wedding night she skips her husband's chamber and goes to the son's instead.

The twist arrives when he loosens her gown and sees a mark burned into her shoulder: the brand of the enemy. She is a spy, and she is in the king's son's bedroom. The tension is what he does with that knowledge, and what she wants from him.
