What The Open House is about

Buying a first home is supposed to be the sensible, grown-up step. Ben and his wife Emily book a tour, and the realtor has a habit of showing Ben each room on his own, while Emily is always one door away: close enough to call out, never close enough to see.

By closing day, the signature on the contract is the least interesting thing that has happened. It is a story about open doors and what a couple fails to notice in a shared space. Its single Candy tag is Wife, and everyone in it is an adult.
